New Lake Mary Professional Center

Lake Mary Professional Center courtyardMariner Asset Management Services and Gensler recently announced the approval of the site plan for The Hills of Lake Mary Professional Centre development on County Road 46-A in Lake Mary. The 72,000 sq.-ft. professional office complex will be the first of its kind in Florida, seeking to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Platinum certification combined with carbon neutral status for the building shell.

This approach will support tenants seeking to reduce their impact on the environment by providing a more livable workplace for their employees and guests, while achieving the sustainability goals of their businesses. The building will focus on three major green initiatives: Creation of a sustainable site; Reduced water consumption; and on-site energy generation to offset the energy used by the site and building.

Lake Mary Professional Center frontThe development will provide the framework for tenants to achieve goals from LEED certification up to zero net energy consumption for their business operations. Energy consumption will be significantly reduced by utilizing advanced building systems such as EBS structural concrete form walls, which reduce the impact of thermal gain on the building, and by utilizing advanced mechanical systems. The use of photovoltaic solar systems on the building and site will offset energy consumption by the building and can be augmented at the tenant and building owners' discretion to further offset or eliminate energy consumed by operations.
